Getting Legal Advice

For arts specific legal advice you can contact the Arts Law Centre of Australia freecall 1800 221 457 outside of Sydney or 02 9356 2566. Arts Law provides some free telephone legal advice, as well as information sheets and sample agreements and can assist you to get further legal advice when necessary.

Victorian Artists and small organisations can take advantage of The Arts Law Referral Service run by the Arts Management Advisory Group (Victoria). Phone (03) 9421 2798 or email info@amag.org.au. The National Welfare Rights Network provides free and independent information, advice and representation about social security laws.

Tenancy Legal Advice is provided through a number of state/territory based agencies. The best way to find the one closest to you is to search for Tenancy Advice through an internet search directory.
