Off the Wall showcases a selection of works from ten of the best up-and-coming artists from a variety of backgrounds working in a broad range of mediums. The only criterion for selection is the artist must not have formal representation in the city of the event in which they apply; all mediums and age groups are eligible.

the Craft Cubed festival aims to be highly participatory and to create a space for practitioners and the public to engage with contemporary issues. The 2010 festival dates are 5 August to 4 September and the theme is Childhood.
Expressions of Interest are now being sought for festival satellite events (eg studio workshops, exhibitions, student projects etc) that engage with the theme.

The 2010 Art Monthly Australia Emerging Arts Writer's Award is calling for entries in 2 categories, Open and Student. The theme for this year is Art+Community. For more information refer to the application form.

The theme of the 2010 Eaglehawk Art Award is the Mapping of Eaglehawk and the Award is open to all visual artists This non-acquisitive $5,000 will be awarded to a work based on the criteria. Application forms can be downloaded from the website.

The M1 Singapore Fringe Festival is an annual festival of theatre, dance, music, visual arts and mixed media created and presented by Singaporean and international artists. Themed differently each year, the Festival aims to bring the best of contemporary, cutting-edge and socially-engaged works to the Singapore audience.

artsCape is a free 16 day outdoor sculpture eventexhibition of environmental sculpture situated within the beachside parklands of Byron Bay. Professional sculptors from the region, across Australia and overseas will create sculptures which convey messages about the environment and sustainability.

The theme of this year's Artists' Week is 'Art in the Global Present'and will take place in the Hawke Building, University of South Australia. This symposium will feature international keynote presentations and many artists visiting Adelaide as part of the Festival's Visual Art Program.

The Fletcher Jones art prize is an acquisitive painting prize, conducted by the Geelong Gallery on a biennial basis. The prize continues the tradition of the Geelong Contemporary Art Prize and is worth $30,000.

New Work – emerging grants support the creation of new work by emerging craftspeople, designers, media artists, visual artists and arts writers with less than five years professional experience.

The ArtStart program provides financial assistance to recent creative arts graduates who are committed to establishing a career as a professional artist. Graduates who plan to earn income or gain employment as a professional artist in the visual arts, hybrid and media arts, performing arts, literature or in community arts and cultural development are invited to apply.
