Artist Statement
My artwork is my response to all that I experience physically, spiritually and emotionally in my life. Much of life’s milestones - travel, marriage, pregnancy, birth, love and losses have had a profound impact on the direction of my work. I cannot remember a time when I did not respond to life via my art. Over recent years I have incorporated the use of textile and stitching in my work. I see these elements as threads running through time connecting me to the lives and experiences of women past and present. My most recent works are an attempt to find harmony between nature and man’s impact upon it and a search to find beauty within the often harsh realities of life.
