Artist Statement

Born in Sydney but growing up in Istanbul-Turkey, Onur Karaozbek's involvement with music and poetry in turkey as well as the influences of the works of Poss Halfin, Larry Clark and Rob Zombie pushed him deep in to the world of photography. A self taught photographer, he studied film and literature for 5 years. His obsession with showing images through his writing created a way for him to tell his stories through photography. Now a Sydney based artist, he had exhibitions in Istanbul and Sydney and in plans do more in 2008 and 2009.
