Artist Statement

In experimenting with textiles and paint a range of ideas have developed.I have always put a lot of faith in the promise of 'line' over the many attributable qualities in visual forms and now I'm beginning to understand my fascination for it. Returning to the notion, some may be critical of; symbolism. I refuse to part with the idea of symbols stimulating a narrative or better, linking a personal experience, creating a universal linch-pin, I like that, it offers layers of meaning without the complication of over emphasis.
