Kurt Sorensen is a photographic artist who describes his work as dark Folk art. In capturing ordinary places with a wide focus area and the absence of human figures, Sorensen utilises the natural/available light, shade and vivid colour sources to create scenes with a great air of expectation, filled with uncertainty, intensity and an atmosphere of emotional potentiality. His photos are printed directly from negative and have not been enhanced digitally.
Exhibition at At The Vanishing Point 565 king st Newtown on until 17th October.
