My interests lie in the area of installation, design and architecture. I create site-specific works that navigate the existing architecture of the site whilst exploring the collapse of one space into another; sculpture into architecture. I look at how architecture can be reconsidered to reinstate a relationship with built matter that directly connects and is informed by everyday human experiences. On a visual level I am interested in the pure physical qualities of my materials. Diverging from their original purpose materials can be used as powerful design elements, elevating the mundane to the extraordinary. I purposefully elect common household materials like masking tape, Gafa, office paper and Blu tac to create fantastical environments that are informed by constructivist design and vernacular architectural methods.
