I am interested in understanding and representing the nature of self, our inner sense of ‘me’ and ‘I’ which has been called the sense of ‘going-on-being’.
I am fascinated by the remarkable transformation of physical neuronal pathways into the subtle complexities of our subjective inner experience. I use paper and textiles, different substances made from the same materials, to suggest the resolution of this apparent duality.
I graduated with First Class Honours from the Australian National University in 2010. My most recent work explores the role of the body in our sense of self, and in the process of creating art.
