Artist Statement
I am inspired mostly by music, from Classical to Jazz, of life, which is itself, to me, is a one vast, multi-coloured, rich musical score. My works express the embedded, intertwined notes and rhythm within. Each composition explores stillness and movement just as notes & rests in music. They are reflections of my sincere being at the time of their creation. The shapes and rhythm are drawn from the subconscious, of things that I have seen, experienced, heard. All these amalgams of emotions, colours, and rhythms are articulated through impromptu process, with my hands as the final or the sole brush. The Expressionist paintings exhibit strength in the use of color and form to express mood, milieu and emotion. All of the paintings are resolute in style and convey poignancy through a unique and innovative perspective; a perspective so rich as to elevate the work to a realm of pure aesthetic lyricism. I feel that the paintings will resonate well in New York and with our international audience. Angela Di Bello, Director of Agora Gallery, New York / Editor-in-Chief of ArtisSpectrum Magazine
