Artist Statement
Wayne Howie is a Australian OUTSIDER ARTIST. Having had work shown in New York, Chicago, San Diego, Canada, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in a career that began in 2002 from humble beginning's from his first group exhibition in Brisbane in MAY 2002 . His work is sort after by serious collectors of OUTSIDER ART World Wide. His work is in private,corporate and Public collections in New York, Canada, San Diego,Singapore, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Madrid, Paris, Johannesburg, Bangkok and Los Angeles. Howie has something to say and he is not shy to say what he means. His work has been described as shocking, beautiful, arrogant, lovely and even ugly. What is clear is that when you delve into Howies work you are dragged kicking and screaming into a World of contradictory messages, images and styles. Welcome to WAYNE HOWIE OUTSIDER. Enjoy the ride.
