About
These funds are to assist directly with the costs associated with the development and implementation of a project plan and strategies, for example, the production of new creative work, the presentation costs in a venue, travel and freight, technical assistance costs, preparation and distribution of a portfolio, market research, building contacts, creating and maintaining a database, setting up a website, or a publicity campaign.
Initiated by NAVA, funds for the scheme have been made available specifically to encourage visual arts, craft and design practitioners residing in NSW to undertake creative and cost-effective initiatives.
Eligibility
- You must be a professional artist.
- Individuals and groups are eligible to apply only once per round and if successful, cannot apply again for 12 months. For example, if you received a grant in the February round you would have to wait until the May round the following year before you could apply again.
- If submitting an application as a group the application must come from two artists in that group. If the application is successful, funding will be awarded to the two artists.
- Indigenous artists and artists from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
