NAVA congratulates the following individuals who were recognised in the 2015 Queen's Birthday Honours List for their service to the visual arts, craft and design sector. Notably among this year's recipients were Rupert Myer, Chair of the Australia Council for the Arts, and artist Maureen Cahill, Founding Head and Senior Lecturer, Glass Department, Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney, 1977-2003.


COMPANION (AC) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION

Richard Harold SMITH AO Terrey Hills, NSW

For eminent service to the community as a benefactor of a range of not-for-profit and conservation organisations, through support for major fundraising initiatives for humanitarian and social welfare programs, to medical research and the visual arts, and to aviation.


OFFICER (AO) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION

For distinguished service to the community through philanthropic contributions to, and committed fundraising support and advocacy for, a range of arts, cultural, youth, research and social welfare organisations.
