Arts Education Lobbying for Teacher Preparation

Representatives of the National Advocates for Arts Education (including NAVA) met with key political decision makers in Canberra on Tuesday 16th November to lobby for a commitment to properly resourcing the preparation of teachers to deliver the new national arts curriculum for schools. They said that in order to be ready for when the curriculum is rolled out in 2013, planning needs to begin now for the training of both pre- and in-service teachers.
