The United Nations Education Science and Culture Organisation (UNESCO) will next week launch the inaugural International Arts Education Week (21–27 May 2012) at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
The World Alliance for Arts Education (WAAE) calls upon teachers, parents, children, arts education associations, artists, researchers and government authorities to profile practices, traditions, innovations, projects and research that highlight the role of arts education in diverse communities. From now on, the fourth week of May will be dedicated to arts education.
