Winners Announced for 2007 Freedman Foundation Scholarships

Photo: Owen LeongFive talented young Australians have been announced as winners of the prestigious 2007 Freedman Foundation Travelling Scholarship for Emerging Artists.At a special awards ceremony held last night at the College of Fine Arts UNSW, Kathy Keele, CEO of the Australia Council for the Arts, presented $5,000 award cheques to:
Bridget Currie
Katya Grokhovsky
Izabela Pluta
Keg De Souza
Laura Woodward

Ms Keele acknowledged the invaluable support that the Freedman Foundation offers to Australian visual artists. She praised the Foundation for providing young artists with fantastic international opportunities to travel and gain new experiences which would accelerate their artistic careers.
