Greens @ Leura Art Award for Drawing & Painting

The Inaugural Greens @ Leura Art Award for Drawing & Painting - held in Leura in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales - is a themed art award created by Australian artist, Alison Jane Rice. Budding and professional artists throughout Australia have the opportunity to compete for significant cash prizes. Works selected by the three judges will be for sale and on exhibition for three months.  

The national art award officially opens for entries on Sunday 1st August. Terms & Conditions and the official Entry Form for ages 16 years and over are available for download on the Leura Golf Club’s website in its Club News section.

The major sponsors of the Award are TECTURA Australia based in North Sydney, Downer & Maher Real Estate, Botanical Theatre Artist Studio, and the oldest golfing institution in the Blue Mountains, Leura Golf Club. Sponsored prize allocations include:

Tectura Australia $2,000 acquisitive First Prize Overall Winner
Downer & Maher $500 non acquisitive Outstanding Watercolour
Other prizes to the value of $3,000 will be awarded in other categories such as Honourable Mention, Youth Art Prize & Viewers Choice. The Award’s Opening Night will be held at 6pm on Saturday 9 October 2010 with the fifty finalists works on display at Leura Golf Club.
