The Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and National Glass Gallery incorporate 7 exhibition spaces, all co-located in an International Architectural Award winning designed civic centre in the central CBD district of the Wagga Wagga local government area.
The Role: The appointee will be responsible for the creative vision of the Regional Gallery and its visual arts commitments, including the development and implementation of a strong arts profile across the region and the sector. You will be responsible for enhancing working relationships with other cultural facilities and services as well as seeking sponsorships and partnerships with external stakeholders. The appointee will lead the operational management of the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery including all exhibitions and programs; the City’s outstanding permanent collections which incorporate the National Art Glass and Australian Print collections; our community spaces and outreach programs as well as sound financial and resource management of the gallery.
The Person: Applicants should possess graduate qualifications in Arts Management or a related field such as a Bachelors degree in fine arts, art history, or a related field. You will have extensive experience in an appropriate art museum or gallery setting, including experience in promoting, profiling and developing art collections and artistic programs. You should demonstrate high level organisational, project management, leadership, financial and human resource management skills.
