The Rick Amor Drawing Prize (the Prize) is an acquisitive drawing prize to the value of $10,000 and exhibition. The winning entry will enter the permanent collection of the Art Gallery of Ballarat.
The Prize is open to all Australian artists (citizens of Australia or permanent residents for at least 12 months).
Works chosen for the exhibition will be shortlisted by a Judging Panel (the Panel) from digital jpgs. Artists may enter a maximum of two works. The Panelâs decision in the matter of initial selection is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding its decision. Unsuccessful entrants will be notified in writing at the conclusion of this phase of selection.
A judge has been appointed to review all shortlisted works and to award the Prize to one of those works. The judgeâs decision will be ïŹnal and no correspondence will be entered into regarding his or her decision.
Entries must be forwarded to the Gallery by Friday 24 February 2012. Entries must consist of no more than two jpg images, curriculum vitae (two page maximum), the entry form and entry fee.
The entry fee is $30 per art work. The entry fee is non-refundable. Any entry not accompanied by payment of the entry fee will be ineligible. Payment may be made by cheque or credit card to the Art Gallery of Ballarat. Receipts will not be mailed unless requested.
