“I really enjoyed it. I will probably do it again as my career progresses. I think that it was simple in that things were set out well and broke complex matters down to a manageable and helpful format and the resources are great. Really appreciate it. I like business I am shocked! Thanks.†(‘Art Business Basics’ 2012 participant)
In 2012, we piloted the NAVA Connect program and we are back bigger and better with two new courses as well.
NAVA’s exciting new program for visual & media arts, craft and design practitioners will help improve your arts business practice, increase marketing and communication skills, uncover opportunities for exploring alternate career paths as well as helping you write grant applications and build your own website.
Delivered online by industry professionals, NAVA Connect was developed with the assistance of staff at the College of Fine Arts (COFA) Online, who have over 11 years experience in software development and the delivery of online learning to the highest standard.
Click on a course title in the left hand menu to find out more about each course.
We will also be releasing two new courses Winning Grant Proposals and Build a Basic Website. Winning Grant Proposals aims to improve your grant writing skills as well as giving you the tools to develop your artist statement, biography and CV. Build a Basic Website will take you step by step through developing a Wordpress site to increase your online presence.
To undertake the NAVA Connect courses participants will be required to have access to a computer and at least dial up internet. You will need strong skills in the Microsoft Office programs including word, excel, powerpoint and you must be able to upload and download files from the internet.
We will be offering the courses throughout the year but don’t leave it to the last minute as they can sell quickly.
